How does the measurement process work?

At Bespoke Tailors Australia we give you absolute flexibility with the measuring process for your new garment. We of course offer face-to-face measurement services where one of our skilled staff will work directly with you to not only take your measurements, but to assist in selecting the right customisations to make your garment perfect for you.

Sometimes though, it is difficult for customers to find the time for a face-to-face measurement session in their busy day. With Bespoke Tailors Australia, you no longer need to. Using our state-of-the-art online design technology, you can design and customise your garment completely from the comfort of your own home. We have worked tirelessly with master tailors from all over the world to break down the measurement process into incredibly easy to follow, step-by-step videos. You simply follow the video and enter the measurement.

What is the turnaround time?

From the point of placing the order, we advise our customers to expect their garments delivered straight to their door in 4-5 weeks, however these times are generally less and cater for circumstances that we cannot control (such as delays through customs).

For weddings, we recommend allowing a longer time (approximately eight weeks) to ensure there is plenty of time for any minor alterations to occur prior to the big day.

Other bespoke tailoring companies prices are so much higher, why are your prices so low?

Many other companies have a multitude of overhead costs that they must pass on to the customer in order to be profitable. Because of our innovative business model, as well as our tailors being based directly in Hong Kong, Bespoke Tailors Australia avoids many (if not all) of these overhead charges, while still providing exemplary fabrics and quality workmanship. These reduced overheads result in a much more affordable product for our customers.

I don't live in Canberra, am I still able to have something made for me?

Of course! We love any excuse to travel and often travel to many capital cities all over Australia. Don't feel like waiting for us to arrive? Utilise our state-of-the-art design technology (which allows you to design, customise and compare different fabrics, styles, and options) and order right from the comfort of your home.

I need some small alterations made, where can I go?

Although our measurement process, when carried out correctly, provides perfect results in the majority of cases, it is only natural that sometimes a garment may need to be slightly altered after you have received it. This could be for any number of reasons, such as changes in your size between ordering and receiving your garment or simply just a change in mind of the desired length or hang of your garment.

We have got you covered, no matter what city you live in. Bespoke Tailors Australia utilises the best local tailors in each capital city to provide minor alterations to your garment, meaning you're enjoying your new purchase sooner.

What fabrics do you use?

We have a wide variety of fabrics to choose from, at varying levels of 'Super' thread count. At Bespoke Tailors Australia, we have access to:

  • 100% Merino Wool (for suits);
  • 100% Cashmere Wool (for coats);
  • Cashmere Blends (for suits & coats);
  • Silk (for suits & shirts);
  • Linen (for suits); and
  • Cotton (for shirts).

All of our fabrics are sourced from the best mills in Asia and Europe.

Does it cost anything to use different customisation options?

Not a chance! The cost of each garment is set and you can make as many (or as little) customisations to it as you like, ensuring your garment is one-of-a-kind!
